The Role
As an entry SIPP Administrator, you'll play an important role in supporting the wider pensions administration team, “learning the basics” helping to ensure client and adviser requests are processed accurately and in line with regulatory requirements.
This position offers a broad range of responsibilities across the administration lifecycle, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates who are looking to develop their technical knowledge and establish a long-term career within pensions.
Full training will be provided, although previous experience within pensions, financial services, provider or banking would be advantageous.
Key duties will include:
- Assisting with new business applications through to completion
- Supporting pension drawdown and retirement income payments
- Assisting with ad-hoc benefit payments
- Supporting the calculation and processing of member benefits
- Processing investment applications and withdrawals
- Liaising with financial advisers, clients, solicitors and third-party providers
- Supporting the administration of SIPPs and SSAS arrangements where applicable
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring work is completed within agreed service levels
- Supporting risk management and regulatory compliance processes
- Assisting with complaint resolution where required
About You
We're keen to speak with individuals who are looking to develop a career within pensions and financial services.
You'll ideally possess:
- An interest in pensions, investments and financial services
- Some previous administration experience, ideally within a professional or regulated environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge
- Confidence communicating with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders
- Good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- A positive, proactive and customer-focused approach
- The ability to work accurately within processes and agreed deadlines
